Ottawa: Library of Parliament

Library of Parliament
Parliament Hill
Ottawa, Canada

The Library of Parliament Hill has a long history of moving from one city to another as Canada didnt have a permanent capital in a long time. When Queen Victoria chose Ottawa as the Capital (maybe based on the number of maple trees there? LOL..), the library found its home.

The library is located separately from the center block of the Parliament Hill (to protect it from fire) but connected by a hallway. As you can see, this Victorian Gothic style is highly impressive with sixteen flying buttresses.

See the post tomorrow. Ill bring and show you inside. 😉
