I won a DILDO!

Last night, I googled “gay jobs in Toronto” and produced thousands of results but none was something that I really wanted.  Then, there’s a link that led me to a website that offers orientation for LGBTQ members + newcomers.

The said event is sponsored by Access Alliance. It is a one-day conference that will bring together service providers, LGBTQ newcomers, speakers, performers, and community members to connect and engage in discussions surrounding newcomer realities, celebrating ourselves, and creating inclusive communities.

Without fluffing my clitoris, I decided to join so I’d know the “ins and outs” of the gay community in this city. And well, of course, to have new friends and build connections.

I’ve been here for 11 days and I badly need like-minded people who I can chat with all things funny, nasty, fabulous and serious—the gay way.

I’m glad I went there. Not only that I got to talk to few people but I met a Filipino gay guy and lesbian who are active volunteers of the community and they made me feel welcome.

Speakers of various support organizations were invited to talk about topics that matter to the LGBTQ + Newcomers. The issues they talked about were very helpful as I am on a very difficult process of settling down here. Listening to their stories has made me realize that I’m not alone in this difficulty of “fitting in” in this country. Some of them I talked are still struggling and surviving.

But anyway, I’m not gonna bore you with sob stuff.

So, after our dinner, raffle tickets were distributed to everyone. Prices were kinda promising. Four more speakers were called to talk and in between their spiels, the host would announce the lucky winner.

And guess what, I got the grand prize: a dildo!

Really! A dildo!

Imagine that? A blue dildo.

Oh dear, I don’t need a toy playmate. I want a real thingy. I don’t care if it’s big or small. Hahahaha…

After I received my prize, the the girls sitting in the front table asked me if I’d be willing to exchange the dildo to the book which she won, too.

Why not? So, we happily exchanged our winning objects. :))

Hahahahahaha…. I’d exchange that for a round trip ticket to LA for the Pride! :))
