Cherry Blossoms in High Park

Cherry Blossoms (aka Sakura Hanami)
High Park, Toronto

Its that time of the year again when we all admire the allure of Spring. When the sakura / cherry blossoms unfold, its a sign that the loooooong cooooollllldddd winter is over. The sun is mostly up and weather warms up.

In Toronto, its that time of the year again when Torontonians flock to High Park to see the full-blown cherry blossoms in all its splendor, charm and magnifence! Every year, this Sakura Hanami (cherry blossom flower viewing) is sort of a tradition in this city. People lay down their picnic mats and bring out their picnic baskets in a manicured green space. The lake seems calm and the birds chirp nearby–eager to see and hear the frolics of children and other forms of agog produced by nenderthals going around. And oh, yes, the racoons are hopping from one tree to another. Theyre ubiquitous!

Its that time of the year again…. when we do our Spring Cleaning!
