My plan was to stay at Atlantis Dubai (aka Atlantis The Palm) for the whole afternoon but when I reached the Aquaventure Waterpark ticket booth, I was very horrified. The queue was longer than I had anticipated. I reluctantly joined the line, with high hopes that it would move fast. Forty five minutes later, I was just two feet from where I started and I was becoming very impatient but I tried controlling it because I didn’t want to have wrinkles in this age. But, the more I controlled my impatience, the more I was becoming a monster inside—and it’s not healthy, so I decided to leave gracefully.
It was a national holiday when I went there (in December) and being naive, I had no idea that it could be that crowded. So, what did I do? I strolled around, went window shopping and had lunch at Asia Republic (because I needed rice). After that, I sat down at Starbucks for a while (because I needed wifi) to check emails and read the guide book for my next destination.
Here are some photos I took.
If you are into aquarium and enclosed marine life, then this is for you. If you can’t afford it, then, just go around part of the aquarium for free (see these three photos below).
